Our Team
Alex Sam’s journey from Emmanuel orphanage to caretaker began in Kota, Rajasthan. His vision for nurturing orphaned children led him to Pakur, Jharkhand, where he founded a ministry in 2009. He pioneered a restoration scheme, fought human trafficking, and established a pregnancy support center. Through education and skill development programs, he empowers individuals to shape their destinies. thrive. Alex’s life embodies compassion, resilience, and faith, illuminating a path of hope for generations.
Sunita Marandy, Alex Sam’s wife, who also grew up in the Emmanuel orphanage, shares his passion for helping orphaned children. Like Alex, she felt a deep calling to serve and support vulnerable individuals. As co-founder and secretary of the Alex Foundation, she plays a crucial role in its work, overseeing the foundation’s programs and ensuring they align with their shared vision. Her dedication to the cause is evident in her tireless efforts to empower and uplift others through education, support, and compassion. Together, Alex and his wife continue to inspire and create lasting change, embodying resilience and faith in every step of their ministry.

The Alex Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that impoverished children and orphans have access to a basic education, regardless of their financial circumstances. Through its programs, the foundation not only offers free schooling but also provides essential school materials such as books, notebooks, pens, and pencils, removing barriers to learning. Additionally, the foundation extends support beyond primary education by assisting students in obtaining scholarships for higher studies. By doing so, it empowers these individuals to break the cycle of poverty and build better futures for themselves. Through its commitment to education, the Alex Foundation aims to uplift disadvantaged communities, nurturing a generation of educated and empowered individuals capable of making positive contributions to society.
Nutritious Food
The Alex Foundation dedicates itself to providing essential nutrition to those in need, particularly patients battling tuberculosis (TB). Each month, the foundation extends support to 30 TB patients for up to six months or until their recovery. These food packages include staples like rice, pulses, cooking oil, spices, eggs, and other necessary items crucial for their health and well-being. Alongside providing sustenance, the Alex Foundation also assists these patients in accessing better treatment options. By addressing the fundamental need for nutritious food, the foundation aims to enhance the effectiveness of medical interventions and promote faster recovery among TB patients. Through its ongoing efforts, the Alex Foundation strives to alleviate the burden of disease and improve the quality of life for those facing health challenges, ensuring that no one battles illness alone or without essential support.
Medical Assistance
The Alex Foundation frequently aids medically underserved individuals and hosts periodic medical camps. However, its focus lies particularly on tuberculosis (TB) patients. Collaborating with the government as a Ni-Kshay Mitra under the ‘Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan’, the foundation plays a crucial role in assisting tribal TB patients in accessing government healthcare services. They offer essential support to ensure patients receive comprehensive treatment facilities. Moreover, the foundation distributes groceries and nutritious food items, aiding in patients' recovery process. By aligning with the national initiative, the Alex Foundation demonstrates its commitment to combating TB and supporting vulnerable communities. Through these concerted efforts, they strive to mitigate the impact of TB, promote wellness, and enhance the overall quality of life for affected individuals.
